Edward Brown

Chief Executive Officer
Ed is the Chief Executive Officer of GTX SEF, LLC, and a member of its Board of Directors. He joined GTX SEF, LLC in November 2016. Ed is an industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry and has focused on electronic systems for the capital and foreign exchange markets since 2000. Previously, Ed was the Head of Strategic Initiatives at EBS BrokerTec, which included ICAP’s global electronic foreign exchange and fixed income trading platforms. Ed was formerly the Executive Vice President of Business Development and Research at ICAP Electronic Broking, responsible for all research and development. Prior to joining BrokerTec in 2002 (acquired by ICAP in 2003), Ed held executive positions at Pedestal Inc. and Oppenheimer and Co. Ed began his financial services career in 1991 at Sanwa (USA) Securities as a mortgage trader specializing in adjustable rate Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS). Ed holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Upon his graduation, he remained in the service for five years as a Surface Warfare Officer, deployed primarily to the Mediterranean and North Atlantic.
