Alain Kamagi

Mr. Kamagi possesses more than 30 years of Foreign Exchange and Capital Market experience (Emerging Markets, US Corporate High Grade and U.S. Treasury/Fixed Income). Prior to founding UNTL, he was a Managing Director at HSBC Bank USA. In that capacity he established and led a team that covered Central Banks, Foreign Pension Funds, Multinational Corporations, Hedge Funds, Proprietary Desks and Family Offices. He also assembled and spearheaded a multi-product team responsible for cross selling FX and Fixed Income products to international institutional and family office clientele. Prior to that, Mr. Kamagi held various senior positions at Republic National Bank, reporting directly to the bank’s President and CEO. There he established the bank’s Mexico subsidiary Treasury Desk and led the sales and trading teams. Before that, he managed the New York FX options’ sales and trading desk. Mr. Kamagi holds an MBA from Bauer College of Business (University of Houston) where he graduated top of his class and received the Dean’s List Award. He also holds a Magna Cum Laude B.A. in Finance from the University of Houston. Fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian and Arabic.
