Executive Chairman Market Factory

James Sinclair co-founded MarketFactory in 2008 and now serves as executive chairman where he focuses on strategic initiatives. James is also a member of the Foreign Exchange Committee (FXC) sponsored by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. As a member of the BIS Markets Participants Group (MPG), James co-chaired the Examples Working Group that wrote the examples in the new FX Global Code of Conduct. Prior to founding MarketFactory, James was head of research and strategy for foreign exchange and fixed income at ICAP Electronic Broking. Prior to that, he held a number of positions at EBS since its inception in 1993, including head of Asia/Pacific, head of sales for the Americas, global head of product management and head of research and strategy.  James also worked as vice president at Citibank based in Hong Kong and Tokyo for over 10 years. James earned a BS in engineering from Imperial College London. Outside of MarketFactory, James is treasurer of the Westminster School Foundation in the USA and, is a keen supporter of Yamba Malawi, a charity dedicated to alleviating poverty in Malawi. He is a keen cyclist, a certified US Coast Guard Captain (up to 50 ton vessels), and a skipper at the Manhattan Yacht Club.
