Matey Gerov

Matey started his trading career on the sell side in 1998. He switched to the buy side in 2009, by joining CDPQ, a leading institutional investor based in Montreal, where he presently serves as a portfolio manager and senior trader. In this role, he is responsible for the management of forwards book and the execution of all currency products. Matey has solid academic credentials, including a Master’s degree in Finance and an MBA. He is trying to build a lasting legacy by teaching trading courses to university students for more than 15 years, including the highly-ranked “Hedge Fund Strategies and Trading” at McGill University
