Matey Gerov

Matey has over two decades of experience in currency markets across both the sell side and buy side. Since 2009, he has served as Portfolio Manager and Senior Trader at La Caisse, one of Canada’s leading institutional investors. In this role, Matey oversees the management of the forward book and leads the execution of all currency products. His academic background includes a Master’s degree in Finance and an MBA. For more than 15 years, he has also been committed to developing the next generation of practitioners by teaching university-level trading courses, including McGill University’s highly regarded “Hedge Fund Strategies and Trading.
