Olga Yangol

Olga Yangol is an award-winning emerging markets institutional portfolio manager and a global macro strategist with a track record of consistent outperformance. Most recently, Olga was a portfolio manager at HSBC Global Asset Management, focusing on Emerging Markets Debt and Currency strategies, and was the manager of a 2019 Lipper Award-winning fund. A frequent speaker at professional and academic conferences worldwide, and an expert commentator for major media outlets, Olga is well-known for her emerging markets insights and research. She has over 16 years of investment experience with expertise in developed and emerging markets rates and foreign exchange, as well as global asset allocation. Prior to HSBC, Olga was at PIMCO where she advised large corporations on asset allocation and asset liability management. Prior to that, Olga designed and traded cross-asset derivatives products for corporations and asset managers as an executive director at CIBC Worlds Markets. She earned an MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an undergraduate degree in Information Systems from McGill University. Olga holds Chartered Financial Analyst, Financial Risk Manager, Chartered Market Technician and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designations. She is fluent in Russian and French and has production level implementation experience with R (statistical analysis) and Python (data analysis and visualization, machine learning).
