Former Executive Director and Global FX eCommerce Risk Manager JP Morgan. Coordinating global pricing spreads and hedging risk, helping to drive JPMorgan to a #1 ranking in FX eCommerce from 2018 to retirement. He partnered with the Automated Trading Strategies team developing and testing new risk management tools and algorithmic order execution models.

His career spanned 43 years beginning 1979 in the International Letters of Credit Operations department for Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co. In the early 1980’s, he moved to the Foreign Exchange trading desk beginning a long career trading USDJPY. Flanagan joined the FX eCommerce desk in 2002 and was actively involved in pioneering the FX electronic trading business as the industry grew. Over the years he has represented the bank and FX industry on TV, in trade journals and conferences. He was selected to the FX Profit and Loss Hall of Fame in 2018. He is a graduate of Assumption College in Worcester, MA with a degree in Economics.
