Managing Director, Trading & Operations Currency Management Mesirow Financial Currency Management

Michael DuCharme, CFA, is managing director and head of trading & operations in Mesirow Financial’s Currency Management group. He is responsible for those currency functions and for the development of currency applications and systems to streamline trading processes, reduce operational risk and lower trading costs.

Michael has more than 14 years of foreign exchange experience. Prior to joining Mesirow Financial in 2017, Michael worked at Russell Investments as head of currency strategy, helping clients develop solutions to reduce their foreign exchange transaction costs while minimizing risk. He started his career as an engineer including a tour of duty as a civil engineering officer in the United States Air Force.

Michael earned a BS in civil engineering from the University of Washington and an MBA from Southern Illinois University. He holds FINRA Series 7, 55 and 66 licenses and a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
